What a great article from the New York Times. I have thought for some time that the news wasn’t really the news. It was only some news director’s idea of what the news should be; put forth with the slant that he or she thought best.
Props to Jon Stewart for telling it like it is. Of course it’s ironic that Mr. Stewart works for Comedy Central and not an actual news network. That alone tends to prove you can’t change the system within the system. It takes someone from the outside.
With television moving from ill-conceived and unlikely scripted programming to decidedly unrealistic “reality” television, it’s refreshing to see real emotion, real opinions expressed.
