The greatest temptation for any leader is simply not to lead. The temptation to pull the oars up out of the water and float along is pretty great.
Whether things are going well (I think I'll coast for a bit) or things are tanking (I'm worn out!) the pull to simply shift into "coast" mode is strong.
But the fact is…we need leaders! Organizations, ministries, churches and schools do not lead themselves. In fact, a leaderless organization is a recipe for disaster.
Get back up on the horse where people can see you. It's a new year and we need a leader.
